Compost and mulches

We stock the Bulrush range of professional quality compost. We sell Multi-Purpose in 20, 50 and 80 litre bags, Ericaceous in 20 and 60 litre bags that is specially formulated for acid loving plants, and Organic 100% Peat Free in 60 litres.

We also stock John Innes 1, 2 and 3, as well as a range of specialist types for Hanging Baskets & Containers, composts for citrus, cacti, bonsai and houseplants. As well as a variety of sand, gravels, pebbles and bark chipping's for that all important mulch.

Garden Ornaments

We are stockist's of Stancombe Stone garden ornaments. Made from high quality reconstituted stone the extensive range includes statues, fountains, birdbaths, planters, sundials and finials. If we don't have the item in stock you are looking for, we can order it for you.

Flowers and vegetables

We carry a large range of flower and vegetable seeds from Sutton's through out the year. Whatever you want to grow in your allotment, garden, grow-bag (we sell these too!) or window box, from aubergine to tomato, from aster to zinnia, from cress to corn salad, you will find the right seeds here. During the season, we also sell seed potatoes and onion sets, along with baby vegetable plants and herbs grown in our nursery.

If you are growing your own seeds, we also sell a range of propagation accessories including root-grow tubes, seed trays, plug trays and propagation packs from Sutton's and Sinclair. If your plants are a little bigger, we stock a variety of plastic and traditional terra cotta flower pots, decorative plastic pots, troughs and planters. If your plants are bigger still, you will find a wide range of glazed and unglazed pots by Woodlodge, all for outside use, with many on special offer of half price or buy one get one free. During the season, both winter and summer, we sell all the accessories for making that perfect hanging basket. This includes the baskets themselves in a variety of sizes, the liners, compost, feed and water retaining gels to ensure the best from your plants.

bird care

We sell the Gardman product range of feeds, feeders, nest boxes and feeder poles. Gardman supply a large range of feeds for wild birds, along with supplements such as mealworm and other high protein feeds. The feeders come in a range of sizes and styles including some squirrel proof versions. Two types of poles to hang your feeds on are stocked, as well as bird tables, along with a number of nest boxes for putting up during the season. You can be sure that when you buy Gardman bird feeds, a proportion of the price is donated to the British Trust for Ornithology and the feed of all types, is approved by the Birdcare Standards Association.

Chemicals and plant food

In our shop you will find a range of plant foods for both indoor and outdoor plants, trees and shrubs. We stock Arthur Bower's feeds including Fish, Blood & Bone, vegetable feeds, rose, clematis and orchid feeds, as well as Tomorite, Maxicrop and Miracle Grow. There is also a range of organic treatments by Garden Success for pests and diseases, along with the more traditional chemical solutions for dealing with insect pests or garden weeds. Also stocked is the range from Rootgrow that activate and provide friendly mycorrhizal fungi.

Along with our range of geo-textiles, weed suppressant fabrics and capillary matting from Tenax, you will find plant supports, netting, greenhouse shading, and fleece, all available by the metre off the roll, as well as Gardman plant warming jackets. These come in three sizes and protect tender plants from frost, bird and insect damage. Made from heavy duty 30gsm fleece, they are rot proof, washable and re-useable. Alongside these you will find a selection of hand tools and pruners from Wilkinson Sword, hose accessories from Hozelock and miscellaneous plant labels, ties and supports.
